I SAW GHOST IN THE SHELL 2017

Spoilers.

The movie had it's highs and lows. I mean honestly my expectations were extremely low to begin with, and hey the movie did have things going for it. Definitely better than absolute garbage.

Past the cool intro scene, the first ten to thirty minutes are embarrassing. The dialogue is BAD, like cheese bad at first. It improves and actually has some decent dialogue later though. Personally I thought it was obnoxious to have her on screen in her robotic birthday suit several times. It's like a near- skin toned deal that isn't atomically correct, thank God. The director's focus on her appearance was irritating and embarrassing, especially when you have to defend the movie.

The director did however exercise some AMAZING shots when it came to the fighting, the virtual world, the slums were freak'in beautiful. The city is meh but cool. The cinematography was gorgeous like the director was ACTUALLY capturing art all the time. I'm not talking shallow over beautified shit like 'Ultra Violet', like the footage is actually really impressive.

The 'terrorist' was in my opinion awesome, his speech glitch and his tragic background. The Major's mysterious origin is the deepest thing in the movie. Honestly it moves fast, it felt like a 90 minute movie because there wasn't that much complication in it. It's a story you could tell back in about five to ten minutes.

The spider tank was wicked and so was her epic stand-off (if you've seen the original you know what I'm talking about), it is grizzly.

I don't understand why the old man had to be the only one with subtitles but it was interesting.

Over-all I was fairly impressed. I was merely nervous about scenes like the one in the club when she was surrounded by a few creeps. One was LITERALLY slimy looking, which was pretty good I'll give em' that. Batou was well casted, everyone was pardon the terrible female doctor and the actual villain. (The first two people that speak in the beginning)

NOT A DISASTER, it was alright.

Had some cheese like in the end the major was standing on the roof saying, "I know what my purpose is now." Blah, go see it. Not the thing you want to spend money on if you only go for the huge blockbusters, but it's a interesting night out.

Ghost in the Shell 2017 has a SURPRISING rating!?

The movie actually did that well with critics?
Sometimes life throws you a curve ball. Don't get me wrong, I personally want to attend Ghost in the Shell just to support the idea of live action animes being made in America. For example, Keanu Reeves has been planning a Cowboy Bebop film where he himself would play Spike. I want to see this, So while Ghost in the Shell is a very intelligent anime, I'm really only backing it to help pave the way for other series.

With that said, I've had extremely low expectations. Ever since I heard Scarlett Johansson was playing the Major and witnessed the uber amped up visuals of the first trailer I didn't form high hopes. The robot geishas are cool and so is the city, but the thing just screams to me all style and no substance. For example, Batou looks off like a pretty boy, and Daisuke looks like a final fantasy character.

I truly fear all the brilliant philosophy will be flushed down the drain for this one, at the very least maybe with a pg-13 rating it will be kept tasteful. Stand Alone Complex had questionable writing at times and well look at the freak'in outfit.

I know the whole series wasn't like that, she had trench coats and ect, but I'm glad at the very worst Ghost in the Shell 2017 portrays her in a rubbery chameleon suit instead of nudity like in the original.

That might just be my opinion, but I don't want to be embarrassed trying to defend this movie like I have been with The Fifth Element.

Regardless I'm getting a ticket with a little more hope now, I mean I honestly expected like a 12% rating. I most look forward to the spider bots, what are you excited for?

MIND BLOWING 2nd Valerian Trailer

When the lyrics of the signature haunting song coos, "it blows my mind", it ain't kidding. This is the new trailer and the first one to give us a clue-in what this visual master piece is about. The concept is simple, there is a neutral place where thousands of species share their culture and knowledge, it is a paradise. Then cue in the mysterious new force coming in to crush it.

The color just pops, you can definitely tell it's the director of The Fifth Element, why has this man waited so long to produce something like this again!?

You'll want to view this clip over and over again, I know I did.

Valerian releases  into theater July 21, 2017.

What to expect in NEW SPAWN MOVIE?

It's been a long time since the Spawn fad of 1997 and it's satanic explosion featuring the first super hero from Hell's big screen debut. Back then it was a miracle to even get a PG-13 adaption but due to the success of dark R rated features such as Deadpool and Logan, the time feels right.

(Comic book creator) McFarlane elaborates:

"We're getting a second movie. And it's not gonna be a continuation, it's not gonna be a sequel, it's not gonna be any of that. Scrap the first movie it was twenty years ago. It's gonna be a dark, R-rated, scary, bad-ass sort of script that's tight. And it's not a nice, polite, PG-13 with ray guns and and headquarters.... You're never going to see a dude in a rubber suit....This is going to be my Jaws shark."

Hold on there, by Jaws shark does that not only mean something terrifying but involving practical effects? No rubber suit, no ray guns..., how much of a reality check is this thing going to cash?

During a recent interview on 'Greeking Out' via comicbook.com, he continues to hint that "Gone are the super villains and dastardly plots.'

Instead I imagine its going to be a lot like the beginning of the old HBO special, where a supernatural entity (Spawn) lurks about in the alley ways dealing with a community of homeless bums. It's going to be a monster flick based on solid ground, nothing fanatical but the exception of the main character's existence.

So what's to be excited about? The golden promise has been given, this next movie will better follow the source material than the original campy film. We're talking comic books  known for graphic, unrelenting content and overwhelming levels of grit.

So less of flashy monsters and troll haired looking demon lords,

and more grizzly violence and story driven horror.

Keep watch of MovieDemon, we're definitely following this resurrection.

EPIC NEW SPIDER MAN TRAILER

The new Spider man trailer has dropped and honestly it has eased all my worries.
After the original trailer I felt less than thrilled about a high school setting, the casting of Mary Jane and even the vulture.
However, this trailer doesn't over-stress the high school setting, it makes Parker's friend more appealing and funny. Plus we get a greater sneak peak into the Vulture's motives and personality.
Not to mention whip snap intelligence seems to have been employed in the fight scenes, evidence being Parker's take down of a couple of armed robbers.
My expectations, even as a Marvel fan, have risen to incredible heights with this trailer.

Marvel and share it with your friends.
